For three hours each day, Fairmont teachers focus on the skills most important to lifelong academic success: reading, writing, and mathematics. Whether your child is a straight-A student or in need of remediation, he or she will receive one-on-one attention from teachers who specialize in making learning fun.
Summer School Highlights
- Reading/Phonics - vocabulary, comprehension, and critical thinking
- Writing - creative skills and essay composition, grammar and syntax, spelling and penmanship
- Math - problem solving, basic concepts, and skill reinforcement

Becoming proficient in the English language is one of the biggest challenges many non-native English speakers face. Fairmont's summer ELL program supports students as they develop practical English knowledge for use at school and in the community. A combination of listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities helps students build confidence as they grow in their command of the language. With the guidance of an instructor, students engage in a software-based program that encompasses skill development, literature experiences, guided practice, and open-ended activities.
